Trap Lab SAT Rescue ("Trap Lab", "we") is an online Digital SAT practice service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who can use Trap Lab
Trap Lab is for students who are 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
What we collect
- Email address, when you ask for a free trial code or an account is created for you.
- Your choices: that you confirmed you are 13 or older, and whether you agreed to receive SAT tips and offers by email.
- How you found us, for example a TikTok link.
- Practice data: your answers, scores, time spent, reports, Review Pack and any feedback or problem reports you send.
- Account data: your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. We cannot read it.
- Security data: a one-way coded version of your network (IP) address, used to stop people from taking many free trials. We do not keep your IP address itself with your account.
- Cookies that keep you signed in and remember that a free trial was already used in this browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To send your trial code, your sign-in details and password-reset links.
- To run your practice: grading, explanations, reports and your study plan.
- To keep the free trial to one per person and protect accounts.
- To fix problems and improve questions, using your feedback and anonymous totals.
- Only if you agreed: to email you SAT tips and Trap Lab offers. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share it with advertisers.
- We do not predict or report official SAT scores, and we do not share your results with schools or the College Board.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers only to run Trap Lab: an email provider to deliver our emails, a hosting provider to run the website and store data, and Desmos for the in-test graphing calculator (it does not receive your name or email). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and practice data while your account exists so you can return to your reports. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep a record by law. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email only to make sure we do not email you offers again.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from offers with the link in any marketing email.
- Change your password in Account, or reset it from the Forgot password page.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing traplabsat4@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have more rights over your data. We will honor those requests the same way.
Security
Pages are served over an encrypted connection, passwords and codes are stored hashed, sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes and reset links after 48 hours. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use elsewhere.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is important, we will tell account holders by email.
